Fall Membership Retreat (FMR)

What is FMR?

"Each November, the Georgia District of Circle K hosts its annual Fall Membership Retreat, also known as FMR. It is held at the FFA/FCCLA Center in Covington, GA. FMR is a great conference to start off the new school year with your Circle K club members. This is a chance to meet and connect with your district board and other Circle K'ers as well! Plus, you will learn more about what Circle K is and how to be the most effective member you can be. There are workshops on leadership, the history of Circle K, and much more. We have a lot of great things in store for you including events, games, and prizes. Plus, just for registering on time or early, you get your first prize, a free commemorative t-shirt!"

November 2010

"The Amazing Race Warriors. That's the title that all of our FMR attendees received after attending this year's Fall Membership Retreat. Starting on Friday, we kicked off the event with GACKI Amazing Race footage from this year's District Board then we went on to develop teams for the weekend. From the start, Circle K'ers were able to make new friends and develop great FMR memories! Saturday was packed with great activities! We started early with some awesome workshops, a beneficial roundtable session, and a fabulous group photo! We also acquired two new certified workshop leaders, Kip Wise and Joe Charbonnet (Congratulations!). In the afternoon, Circle K'ers went into competition mode as they participated in GACKI's Amazing Race. They all participated in crazy and wacky games which included team jump roping, CKI trivia, water pass, needles in rice stacks, and a cotton ball carrying frenzy! Later that evening, we had a line of fun activities, including making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, making baby blankets, and having a "popping" fundraiser which involved buying balloons and popping them for the surprise inside. We ended the night with an FMR-style dance that had attendees dancing the night away. Sunday, we wrapped up with two awesome activities that were a great ending to a fabulous weekend. Thank you to Georgia Kiwanis Governor Pat Tritt and first lady Eunice, Circle K International Vice President Nicole Loehr, and Georgia Key Club Governor Ginny Byrd for attending this year's FMR."
