The Membership Update Center (MUC)
Guide

Both the club President and Secretary should have access to the Monthly Reports. Both the
Treasurer and Secretary should have access to the roster.

Monthly Reports:
Once you're logged in, you select "People" on the left-hand side and select the correct service
year (2019-2020) and which month you are reporting on. The MRF due on October 5th will
summarize everything your club did in September, so you will select "September" when you go
into the MUC. At District Convention, you cannot win any awards unless all your MRFs have
been submitted, so make sure to go through and submit all reports. Also, you can go back and
edit a report at any time.

Updating the roster:
When it’s time to pay dues (by Dec 1), the roster must be updated with new members. First,
graduate any old members. Then, add any new members (name, email, and estimated
graduation year). Make sure to indicate who is an officer.

Then, you will generate an invoice and need to pay the international dues (depends on school
size) + the district dues ($12/member). It is best to pay by credit card because then it is
immediately in the system, but you can also pay via check. Typically, your Kiwanis Club will help
cover some of these fees.

When you get any new members, you should update the roster. This helps keep an accurate
count of the number of members in your club as well as the district and international. And, they
get the full benefits of being in CKI, such as attending district and international events and
having insurance at all events.

Dues Collection:
Dues help our district run smoothly and help us provide many services to you as members! Payment for dues opens October 1 and the deadline to submit them is November 1. All clubs must pay $12 per member for district dues. From there, the international due amount is listed below:
If your school is a two-year school, then your international club fee is $300.00.
If your school is a four-year school with fewer than 5,000 students, the international fee is $450.00.
If your school is a four-year school with more than 5,000 students, the international fee is $600.00.

If you plan on sending your dues as a check, make sure to attach a tracking number! If your club’s dues are not submitted by December 1, your club will be marked as not in good standing so please make sure they are submitted on time!

Dues payment must be done by the club secretary, club treasurer, Kiwanis Advisor, or Faculty Advisor.
